Lead Support Specialist

Job Highlights

The Lead Support Specialist, Technology Infrastructure will provide critical technical support to the senior executives, specifically related on-premises and mobility technology needs for community events, regular Board and Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings and any other events involving SMT members or business leaders. This specialist will collaborate with other teams of the Company to ensure the technology requirements are met as it relates to the planning and execution of events. The position will have the primary responsibility of ensuring technology resources are deployed on timely basis to designated persons and locations as required. The position may be required to work after-hours or weekends when necessary.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide instant and reliable technology service delivery and support for SMT members and senior business leaders;
  • Install and configure requested software on to PC, electronic mobile devices;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deskside wireless, network, switch, or printer issues;
  • Escalate major issues (wireless, network, server, etc.) to IT infrastructure technical teams to resolve the issues responsively;
  • Follow established processes and procedures, documenting work performed, including steps to resolve issues, at all times within IT ticketing system for service level measurement, audit and knowledge-based purposes;
  • Provide suggestions that may improve processes or enable more efficient support to supervisor;
  • Design and setup all executive leadership IT requirements for meetings;
  • Act as the liaison between IT and business users, work with rest of department and vendors to resolve technical issues;
  • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Technology & Innovation leaders when necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, telecommunications, computer science, or related field required or equivalent experience required;
  • At least one Microsoft certification on the latest Windows/365/Server/Endpoint domain is required;
  • ITIL Foundation certification is required;
  • 5 years related IT support experience including at least 3 years of experience with Windows Operating Systems, Servers, and network hardware required;
  • Experience to provide IT support for senior executives required;
  • Solid working experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office app including Outlook and Teams, and latest mobile technologies on Apple and Android platforms;
  • Familiar with audio-visual technologies, Zoom and Microsoft Teams environment, and LAN/WiFi networking skills;
  • Advanced understanding of technology hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers;
  • Knowledge of one or more operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, or Linux;
  • Familiarity with IT support tools, such as Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Service desk software;
  • Familiar with enterprise IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management;
  • Working knowledge of PC/LAN application software including Office 365 and Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome);
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a particular focus on clearly articulating IT incidents and their solutions so that both end users and technical support staff understand what is being communicated;
  • Ability to diagnose different technical issues and apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions;
  • Ability to independently learn new technology and provide recommendations to others;
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with senior executives, executive assistants, the help desk, the general user community, and work with diverse groups of people;
  • Have strong sense of urgency and critical thinking;
  • Good written in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a must
