Deputy Director, Technology & Innovation (Corporate Systems)

Job Highlights

  • Drive the ERP and finance systems transformation initiatives, business process standardization across Hong Kong and Mainland and operational excellence to support sustainable business growth and corporate objectives.
  • Oversee the strategic roadmap, governance, and delivery of ERP and finance systems initiatives to support finance and business transformation.
  • Partner with business leaders, finance leaders and stakeholders to define, collaborate and design technology solutions with corporate objectives and operational requirements.
  • Manage ERP budget and multiple external vendors, system integrators, and service providers to ensure successful project delivery and service excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing project team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning and improvements.
  • Be responsible for the design, transition and on-going operation of the future operation model, ensuring effective orchestration and harmonization of ERP transformation initiatives with existing systems and integration.

 

Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Define and execute the ERP and finance systems transformation strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • As a trusted partner to business and finance leaders to manage change and drive ERP project and finance transformation, including process standardization, data and architecture governance and emerging technologies implementation.
  • Develop technology roadmaps, budget and business cases to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Drive enterprise-wide process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

ERP Transformation & Programme Leadership

  • Drive ERP programme planning, governance, implementation and rollout, and project controls.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to Steering Committee, management and key stakeholders, ensuring effective governance, informed decision-making and timely resolution of key risks and issues.
  • Ensure successful delivery of ERP initiatives within approved scope, budget, timeline and quality expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Finance, Leasing, Property Development, Property Management and related functions.

 

Finance Systems Leadership

  • Oversees the finance systems portfolio including ERP, JD Edwards, EPM,  treasury and reporting platforms, to ensure smooth operation and integrity with ERP.
  • Ensure production stability, service excellence, security compliance and business continuity.
  • Drive technology innovation and automation across finance functions.

 

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build strong partnerships with business executives, finance leadership and regional management teams.
  • Lead vendor and system integrator selection, contract negotiations and performance management.
  • Act as the executive escalation point for programme, operational and vendor-related issues.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar technology budgets and external service providers.

 

Organization & People Leadership

  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing ERP project team and future operation team across Hong Kong and Mainland with governance and standards.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous learning and improvements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's Degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Proven record and 15+ years of experience in ERP implementation, finance systems, digital transformations, enterprise architecture, data governance, and process transformation.
  • Minimum 8 years in management or leadership positions.
  • Experience managing multiple system integrators, vendors and consulting partners.
  • Excellent executive communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large programme budgets and vendor contracts.
  • Experience in real estate, property development, property management or diversified conglomerates is highly desirable.
  • ERP implementation and operation experiences in Hong Kong and Mainland
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, TOGAF, Oracle, SAP or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
