Manager, Group Project Development (Project System)
Job Highlights
- Act as business owner for construction technology initiatives, including requirement definition, business case development, and adoption governance across mainland and HK projects
- Partner closely with Technology and Innovation Department (T&I) to evaluate and adopt suitable solutions that enhance project delivery and operational performance
- Partner with T&I to support the application of construction innovation initiatives across project developments and review emerging technologies to improve efficiency and quality
- Facilitate discussions with T&I and relevant stakeholders to bring market insights and practical ideas into large-scale construction operations
- Contribute to project quality assurance and compliance, driving continuous improvement in quality, safety, and progress
Responsibilities
1. Business Ownership & Solution Governance
- Serve as business owner to define user requirements, operational needs, and expected outcomes for construction technology initiatives to support project delivery and quality improvement
- Work closely with T&I to review, assess and recommend suitable solutions based on business needs and project requirements
- Develop and evaluate business cases, including cost-benefit analysis, operational impact, and scalability across the Group
- Monitor the usage and effectiveness of adopted solutions across mainland and HK projects
- Define success metrics and track value realization after implementation, including adoption rate, operational efficiency, quality improvement, safety impact and scalability across projects.
- Establish adoption plans, user feedback mechanisms, training coordination and post-implementation review processes to ensure successful deployment and sustained usage across project teams.
2. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a key interface between project teams and relevant internal functions to ensure alignment on business needs and priorities
- Review proposed technologies from T&I and provide business-focused input on solution evaluation and selection
- Facilitate alignment of solutions with project delivery objectives
3. Project Quality Assurance (Approx. 50% focus)
- Monitor project compliance in quality, safety, and progress through structured QA processes for mainland and HK projects
- Support the application of construction tools and technologies to enhance quality assurance outcomes
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
- Identify gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen overall project quality management
4. Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Consolidate and analyse data collected from construction tools and systems to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance project performance, including quality, safety, and efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives at both project and group levels
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building
- Collaborate with project teams, T&I and internal stakeholders to support solution adoption and effective implementation
- Promote best practices and support capability building across project teams
- Work with T&I to engage with external vendors and industry networks to stay informed of market developments and emerging practices
- Support capability building initiatives and promote effective adoption of approved construction technologies across project teams
- Represent Project Development team on digital initiatives. Be the main contact working closely with T&I on related initiatives definition, implementation and operations.
- Own corresponding user communication, training, testing change management, with collaboration with T&I.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction, project management, or architectural coordination
- Experience in construction technologies (e.g. BIM, DWSS, AI applications) with exposure to business case development and solution evaluation
- Experience in change management, user adoption, training coordination or business process transformation would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with the use of project data, dashboards or reporting tools to support management review and performance monitoring and operational decision-making is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle in Hong Kong and Mainland China
- Experience in quality assurance or project governance is highly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive, independent, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
