Manager, Infrastructure

Job Highlights

The Manager, Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the company's server infrastructure environment, ensuring effective governance, operational control, security, and service reliability across Hong Kong data centers and regional platforms. The role leads daily infrastructure operations, manages Windows and Linux server platforms, Microsoft 365 and identity services, virtualization, storage, backup, endpoint management, and data center operations. The position also manages service providers and contractors, ensuring infrastructure services remain secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Infrastructure in governing the server infrastructure landscape, including asset visibility, lifecycle management, risk assessment, and service ownership.
  • Define and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, procedures, and operational controls covering server administration, security, patching, backup, DR, and change management.
  • Oversee daily operations of Hong Kong infrastructure services, including production, DMZ, and application server environments.
  • Collaborate with Mainland infrastructure teams to maintain operational alignment, incident response coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage vendors, managed service providers, and onsite/offshore support teams delivering infrastructure and operational services.
  • Oversee administration and support of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, and related infrastructure platforms.
  • Lead server patching, OS upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, endpoint management, and workstation lifecycle activities.
  • Support identity and access management, including SSO, privileged access controls, access reviews, and hybrid directory services.
  • Manage virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.
  • Coordinate data center operations, capacity planning, monitoring, incident management, and hardware maintenance.
  • Partner with application, security, network, and regional teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, DR readiness, and production support.
  • Manage contracts, licensing, procurement activities, service reviews, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, inventories, SOPs, and audit records.
  • Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure operations, automation, service quality, and security.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 10+ years of infrastructure administration and operations experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise server environments, operational governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
  • Experience with server patch management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure security controls.
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware or equivalent), storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Solid Linux administration experience (RHEL or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience in data center operations, monitoring, capacity planning, incident management, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong vendor and managed service provider management experience.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using PowerShell, Shell, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Hong Kong and Mainland China teams.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Linux, etc.) are advantageous.
  • Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  • Proactive, accountable, detail-oriented, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
